In 2022, I turned 30. Such a big year for not just me, but also for my family! Since this is the first post I’ve done in about a year, let me catch you up real quick if you don’t follow me on Insta: My husband deployed, then we moved from Colorado to Wisconsin and bought our first home! I turned the big THREE-O! We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary apart because of said deployment (whomp whomp). I started my journey with therapy and a fitness journey to be a healthier and better me. I would say that I have learned SO MUCH throughout the years and let go of A LOT hurt, hate, and self doubt. And I can truly say, that after turning 30, my life has done a whole 180! I am happier and my heart is so much fuller.
So please, let me share these things I’ve learned with you:
1. I know it might be hard to accept but therapy is good for you.
2. It’s okay to not have money. We’ve all been there!
3. Constantly comparing yourself to others sucks. Don’t do it.
4. Not everyone is in the same stage of life as you are and vice versa.
5. Eating ice cream every night is good for your soul. Just try to balance it with a little exercise.
6. You never know what people are going through – always be kind.
7. Enjoy your life as much as possible. You only live once!
8. Be kinder to yourself and your body.
9. Appreciate the people who are closest to you.
10. It’s always okay to set goals for yourself and not achieve them. Doesn’t mean you suck, it just wasn’t your time.
11. Don’t ever be ashamed to be yourself. Those closest to you love you for you.
12. Don’t get hung up on your post partum bod. It’s beautiful and so are you!
13. Pay off that debt that hangs over your head.
14. Get as much vitamin d as possible. It’ll always change your mood.
15. Stop waiting for people to come back into your life. If they wanted to, they would.
16. Hustle in silence.
17. Take more chances in life! You miss 100% of the chances you don’t take.
18. Don’t trust everything you see on social media. 90% of it isn’t real.
19. You’re a good mom. You’re a good mom. You’re a good mom.
20. (If you have to, silently) Forgive, forget, and move on.
21. Don’t forget to enjoy the little things. That’s the best part about living.
22. Don’t let other peoples opinions about you bother you. Especially if they don’t know you.
23. Doesn’t matter who it is – DO NOT LET PEOPLE TREAT YOU LIKE CRAP.
24. It’s okay to let go of (what you thought would be a) life long friendship. It hurts but it’ll be okay.
25. Always go the extra mile.
26. You weren’t the same person you were a month ago, a year ago, ten years ago, etc. You’re forever growing and changing into the person you’re meant to be. You are not who you once were.
27. There’s absolutely no reason to try and keep up with the Joneses. Live the life you wanna live, not the one everyone else is living!
28. Use up those vacation days whenever you can!
29. Self care is a MUST! Figure out what works best for you and do it often.
30. Take all of the photos, videos, etc but always remember to be present.
