Fall is my all time favorite season! It is also my second favorite F-word. And if you didn’t know it, food is my first! With the weather finally cooling down, I’ve made a little list of fun things we could do before it gets tooooo cold out. The one thing I’m most excited for is our photos with the beautiful colored leaves! Closely followed by baking because ya girl loves food!
Tie Dye Shorts
While Josh is away, I’ve catered myself to do it yourself and sewing projects to keep me extremely busy. So I must admit, I’ve gone on a silly tie dying binge. I’ve bought shirts, bottoms, socks, bags, cloths – pretty much anything and everything that can be dyed. Today, I decided to try something new. I found this idea on Google a few weeks ago and figured I’d give it a go.
Tie dye jean shorts!
For this project, you’ll need TONS of patience and really good thick gloves.
Glittered Condiment Mason Jars
02.2015
It’s been awhile since I posted. But Delilah’s birthday party (which I focused all my attention on for weeks) was this past weekend. I pretty much made all of the decor, and my oh my, did it take forever! This one had to be one of my favorites. For Delilah’s birthday, we had decided to go with the colors gold + robin egg blue. As for the food, we wanted to do a burger bar. I was searching thru Pinterest (which I do all day, everyday) for burger bar ideas and I came across this idea! Since I love mason jars, I figured it’d be perfect for the party! The jars would hold all the condiments in a cute and classy way. Sadly, I didn’t just want plain ol’ mason jars. I wanted to spice it up a bit. So, I continued looking through Pinterest. I finally found a pin that inspired me once more! The DIY is essentially glitter-dipped cups. I then put two and two together, and voila! I honestly feel like this is kind of the best thing since sliced bread because if you know me personally, you’ll understand my love for anything gold, glittered, and mason jar-y.
(Turns out I started doing these before doing these was cool lol!)
Here’s what you will need:
- Mason Jars (I had six)
- Mod Podge OR Spray Adhesive
- Craft Glitter
- Paper Plates
- Foam Brush
Texas Blue Bonnet Season 2018
It’s wildflower season here in Texas and we’re definitely extra excited for that! And when in Texas…you take blue bonnet photos! We weren’t able to frolic along the many fields of flowers last year so being able to take the kiddos along this year was very important to me.
